THE ZIGGY STARDUST

WORLD TOUR


Opening on the 5th January 1973, the second Ziggy Stardust World Tour visited five countries and produced eighty five performances. The band consisted of: David Bowie (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Mick Ronson (lead guitar), Trevor Bolder (bass guitar), Mick 'Woody' Woodmansey (drums) and Mike Garson (piano).

Whilst David was travelling to Japan on the S.S. Oronsay he gave an impromptu solo acoustic performance for the ships passengers and crew. Joining the touring band for the Japanese leg were John Hutchinson on rhythm / 12-string acoustic guitar and additional drummer Aynsley Dunbar.
