Bowie had problems with the sound throughout the show. He could not hear himself and that made him really mad! So mad that at the beginning of "Station to Station" he asked the musicians to stop playing, said something like "I can't go on like this" and threw his red guitar to the ground with such force that it broke in several pieces! And then he simply said: "Start Fame!"
Rumours at the time said that the organizers of the festival didn't paid Bowie for his perfomance as he did a shorter show, but I don't know if it's true.
