The working title for this song was Dummy.
The lyrics are somewhat different between the original Showgirls version and the re-released Earthling version. In particular, the Earthling version uses Johnny rather than Dummy, and also changes the order of the verses. Furthermore, in Showgirls, Bowie sings 'I'm afraid of the aminals'.
