The introduction states 'The performance will be in 2 parts with a 15 minute intermission. Ladies and gentlemen. On stage at the Capitol Centre for the first time in over 5 years, David Bowie and his band'.
The 1st disc is recorded as 2 tracks and the 2nd disc as 3 tracks. Bowie either sings during The Jean Genie, 'says he's a like a beautician, gives you all kinds of shit...mean little Genie'. The 2nd disc sounds as if it has been assembled from different sources. There is a cut and a break at the end of Young Americans; re-assembly problems.
There is much banter during the band introductions but essentially he says, 'Thank you very much, good evening. I'd like to introduce you to my band. I hope you're taking notes because there's a quiz afterwards'. As he introduces Earl Slick, he says, 'Who are you?'.
He continues, 'It's just a little something we have been known to screw up on the night. I'd like to thank you very much for coming. In 1976 we made an album called Young Americans. Bowie has never been one to remember dates or lyrics. When he sings, 'All the way from Washington', the crowd cheer appropriately.
